Long Beach

Picture beautiful white sand and decent Atlantic Ocean water.

Then picture elbow-to-elbow tanning.

Never seen anything like it, nor had that much sand flicked in my face.

Mercat

A little history lesson:

Mercat, which means "market" in Catalan, serves cuisine inspired by the markets of Barcelona. Catalan cuisine refers to fare from the region of Catalonia, in Northeastern Spain. Barcelona, the Catalan capital, is well known for its dynamic markets where pristine seafood, cured meats and artisanal cheeses are sourced, and tapas is a way of life.

Mercat is also the home of my first taste of sheep cheese and yet another bite of duck.

The Cat Walk
