Raise The Macallan

My first whiskey tasting event, sponsored by The Macallan - free to register, yet a little rough on the virgin palette. I'm fine with just a few sips of the 10!

Uncle Magic

Uncle Magic, the hip hop magician, randomly shows up at a vendor presentation on the job. Just one of the perks of working in NYC, I guess!

Since 1888...

Katz's Deli has made a home for itself on the Lower East Side, serving (somewhere in the ballpark of) 8,000 pounds of pastrami a week! I admit, that was the most tender piece of meat I'd ever eaten. Yum!

Polymorph

BalaSole Dance Company presents Polymorph at Ailey Citigroup Theater.

A series of 10 soloists representing the underrepresented. Very nice!

A New Journey

A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that New York City public schools can prohibit churches from using the facilities for worship services.

The Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit said the decision does not constitute viewpoint discrimination because it does not seek to exclude religious expression but rather excludes a type of activity – worship services.

The Journey's new Upper West Side home is on 57th and 6th Ave.

Shake'n It Up

Kevin Spacey portrays Shakepeare's Richard III, a psychologically twisted soul who offed anyone (family or foe) blocking his way to being king of England.

I have a new respect for Keven Spacey and a renewed respect for the theater. AMAZING!

Lantern's Keep

A new speakeasy inside the Iroquois Hotel in Midtown, complete with cute bartenders, Mexican Bouquets, and crispy risotto fritters. Yum!
