Via Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is exactly like an airport...but with buses.
The returning view of NYC skyline--boats filled the Hudson in anticipation of the Macy's fireworks show--was worth the $13.50 in round trip fare. Not to mention a day of barbecuing, badminton and beer.
